Happy Holidays- 2022

Happy Thanksgiving to all my dear family, friends, and loved ones. This year has been another year of many changes for myself and for my family. 

We lost Barbara this year, she was always an inspiration to me and she taught me so much. As well as a wonderful artist, she was also my mother-in-law, my friend, and an amazing grandmother to my children, and more recently, also a great grandmother.

My son and I have moved to Illinois to be close to my daughter and her family. We have enjoyed being around her and her husband, and their precious little girl.

We have a house that is by the Fox river in Saint Charles Illinois. We love it here. It’s close to the paths for walking and bike riding, we can walk downtown for coffee, meals and ice cream. It’s such a beautiful area.

I have my art business set up here and have got back to painting in my free time and making coasters, cards, magnets, and more. I participated in a couple of Art shows in the area this year, and my work went over very well.

 I’ll be making some website changes next year, you’ll still find me under SKG Artworks, and soon, also under Debby Olsen Designs. I don’t have as much time as I used to, to paint, since I am also working a full-time job,but I will always make time for my customers and do the best I can to fill custom orders as requested. I love what I do and I’m always exploring new techniques and I’m always up for ideas or suggestions.
